Welcome to Bid4it, our legal guys advised us we had better let you know what the terms and conditions of use are when registering with Bid4it. Please make sure you read and understand the legal stuff below before accepting.

1. 0 Accepting the terms and conditions: Bid4it terms and conditions are defined and offered to allow you access to our FREE Classifieds, Auction and fixed priced facilities. By accepting our terms and conditions you agree to those terms and conditions set out in the below agreement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you must refrain from accessing our website and from using our services.

1.1 Amendments to Terms and Conditions: Bid4it may from time to time change some or part of the terms and conditions outlined below, if this occurs you are responsible to ensuring you are up to date with these amended terms and conditions and by continual use of the website you will be bound by those changes.

1.2 Services: Bid4it provides only the services to allow both the buyer and seller to conduct their transactions. Bid4it does NOT take part in the actual sale or purchase of the item other than to provide the buyer and seller the website and services to enable the transaction to take place. If a bid is accepted by the seller, a contract of sale will be formed between the seller and buyer directly, Bid4it does NOT act as an agent for either of the two parties, this includes the use of our credit card facilities if made available. Bid4it provides only Auction facilities, Bid4it is NOT an auctioneer and therefore no liability will be passed onto Bid4it should any issues arise between the buyer and seller, though Bid4it may at it's own discretion provide limited assistance in special cases according to the website policies outlined in our terms and conditions.

1. 3 Membership: Becoming a member is FREE, you may only register as a member if you are a resident, a national, or you are living in either Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi (KSA), Egypt, Oman or Syria and you are able to form a legally binding contract that is enforceable against you. By accepting these terms and conditions you accept that you are able to form a legally binding contract.

1.4 Risks to members: Any transactions that take place between the buyer and seller (members) takes place entirely at your own risk. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you will agree that Bid4it will NOT be held responsible or liable for any misconduct from other members of Bid4it, including without any limitation, to members who have registered under a false identity or false pretences or an attempt has been made by another member to defraud you in anyway. Although Bid4it strives to keep its members safe while using our services, and enforces some level of verification, Bid4it gives no undertakings, representation or warranties in respect to any items or listings sold on our website, nor member services advertised or offered. Bid4it including without any limitation, is not liable for the following services categorized below :

·         The ability of a member to complete their obligations to the sale or purchase of an item or transaction .

·         The accuracy of the item listed and the its condition.

·         The rightful ownership of the item.

·         Safety, value, quality, legality or description of the items listed by its members or services offered through Bid4it's website.

1. 5 Disclaimer: You agree and understand that:

·      The use of Bid4it services and facilities is at your own risk.

·      Any advertisements on Bid4it website does not constitute Bid4it recommendations or endorsement for those advertised products or services. Each advertiser is solely responsible for any representation made in connection to those advertisements or links on Bid4it's website.

·      Bid4it is in no way responsible for the transaction itself, responsibility for any refund rests with the seller and NOT Bid4it.

·      Bid4it does not warrant that, the services will be provided without interruption from time to time. it is not warranted that Bid4it services will be timely, secure, or error f re e.

1. 6 Local traditions, law and termination: By accepting our terms and conditions you accept that when listing an item, it must fall within local traditions and law. Any items or listings which Bid4it locates from its members who break Bid4it terms or conditions will have the offending item or listing immediately removed, repeat offenders will have their account suspended or revoked and maybe barred from any future membership depending on the severity of the offence or offences committed, this includes the use of offensive language, misconduct, Serious complaints made against you, impersonating another member, or when Bid4it terms and conditions have been breached. Members who register under multiple aliases will have their accounts disabled. Bid4it reserves the right to decline, terminate or suspend an account with any further discussions with  you.

1.7 Security: You are responsible for keeping your username and password information, including your email address and email address password secret and secure. Without limiting the following, you will agree:

·      Not to allow anyone else to use your username or membership to Bid4it.

·      That you will not disclose or provide any other person or member any information which may allow them to gain access to your membership.

1. 8 Liability: You agree that to the maximum extend permitted by Qatar law (or the local law where you reside), any and all liability and responsibility of Bid4it to you or any other person under or in connection with these terms and conditions, or in connection with the services, this website, another member's acts or omissions, or your use of or inability to use, the services or this website, is excluded regardless of whether such liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence), equity, breach of statutory duty or otherwise. Bid4it's liability and responsibility is excluded in respect of any and all loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, including, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business or anticipated savings, general and special damages, and consequential and incidental l oss .

1.9 Accurate information: You warrant that you have provided complete, accurate and current personal information when registering as a member. You must maintain and update your personal information which is held by Bid4it to ensure it is kept current at all times, Bid4it may phone or mail you to verify these details. You MUST NOT register as a member under multiple identities or persons (whether false or not), however, at Bid4it's discretion, you may create a business membership in addition your personal membership.

1.9.1 Emails, newsletters and correspondence: Bid4it will send you emails related to your membership, transactions and other activities on the website. Bid4it may send promotional or marketing materials related to other Bid4it services and facilities it can provide you with. In the case of newsletters sent, clear instructions will be sent with the newsletters informing you on how to unsubscribe from the mailing list.

2. 0 GENERAL RULES

2. 1 General

·      All listings, bids or communication made through Bid4it shall be made in good faith.

·      You must not damage, interfere with or harm the website or services, or any network, or system underlying or connected to them, or attempt to do so.

·      You may not use a robot, scraper or any other unauthorised automated means to access the website or information featured on it for any reason or purpose.

·      You must not complete a transaction outside of the Bid4it process when valid bids have been placed against your item by other members. This includes either premature auction withdrawal, or otherwise as this may result in Bid4it suspending or terminating your membership at our discretion.

·      Any contract for the sale of land must be in writing to be legally enforceable and must state if available only to Qatari/Gulf nationals or Expats.

·      You are responsible for any actions taken through your membership. Bid4it memberships are non transferable and therefore can not be sold, leased, lent or traded.

·      You must not use the services or the website provided by Bid4it to promote items for sale outside of the services provided if Auctioned.

2.2 Obligations as a seller:

·      Currently sellers must be located in Qatar and other listed Countries ONLY. Sellers outside of these countries are NOT permitted to sell on Bid4it. Any changes to this obligation will be made at the discretion of Bid4it. Sellers have the option to only send items to an address that is within Qatar and listed Countries. Due care and diligence should be taken when making a sale outside of your local country.

·      You will only enter listings which are accurate, current, complete and include all relevant information about the terms of sale, payment, shipping methods and who will bear the cost of the delivery, if delivery applies to that sale.

·      You must list the items you wish to sell in the most appropriate category.

·      You will only place listings for items which actually exist and that are to be sold. You will not list items that you are not legally entitled to sell or that are not in your possession. You will not sell or offer services, except within the services category and in accordance with the members Services category policy. In the case where you are importing a vehicle from offshore for sale, you must be adhere to local laws concerning the importing and sale of a vehicle in Qatar. When listing a vehicle for sale where the vehicle is offshore or in transit to be delivered to the relevant listed Countries, you must indicate this in the details of the listing. Any land, property or building which is to be listed on Bid4it for sale, lease or rent must be in Qatar or other countries listed by Bid4it.me.

·      You must not list anything which is illegal, offensive (including anything which is of a defamatory, Pornographic, or racially or ethically objectionable nature), stolen, or unsafe, anything which infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights, items which have been illegally imported or which would require illegal import or export in order to complete the transaction, or any item of which the sale is prohibited by, or violates any law. You are responsible in ensuring that you do not breach in part, or in whole any of the clauses stated with this agreement. You agree that Bid4it may disclose your personal information, including your name, address or telephone number to the relevant authorities, parties and/or the applicable intellectual property right holders (or their representatives) if Bid4it considers that you are in breach of this agreement at any time.

·      When you are listing an item for auction on Bid4it you should do so with the intention of selling this item through the site. You should therefore not advertise your item through another forum. If you remove a listing for an auction you may incur a non refundable withdrawal fee, regardless of the reason, so please consider this when listing an item through Bid4it.

·      Bid4it classifieds may be used by individuals or businesses to list specific items or jobs only and must not be used for multiple or generic items or job listings. Also you must not place multiple listings for a single item or job.

·      Your listing may only contain a URL which further describes that specific item which has been listed on Bid4it and must not contain contact details or any other items for sale. You must not use Bid4it listings to promote a business or website other than the item you have listed for sale.

·      You must not use the services provided by Bid4it to sell items that are of a speculative nature including, but not limited to pyramid schemes, surf for free, or any other similar product or schemes.

·      Bid4it does not permit members manipulating prices through mirror bidding or assuming multiple roles in a single transaction.

·      For auctions, you must sell to the highest bidder if the reserve price is met. You must only sell to a bidder who is not the highest bidder when multiple attempts have been made to contact the highest bidder with unsuccessful results.

·      Classifieds allows the seller to sell their item to any buyer at the sellers discretion.

·      Listings are not pre-screened for content. Bid4it reserves all rights when removing unsuitable listings that is deemed in breach of the terms and conditions.

·      You agree to having your email address details supplied to the buyer when your auction closes.

·      You must promptly send or deliver the item which has been listed through Bid4it to the successful buyer on completion of the transaction.

·      If any shipping or delivery charges apply to the buyer, then these fees must be fair and reasonable.

·      The sale of films, videos, DVDs, VCDs and laser disks are covered and protected by international copy right laws and it is an offence to sell these items where they are of an objectionable nature, and when the seller knew that the publication was of an objectionable nature. The selling of these items in such an objectionable state carries penalties, and in some cases imprisonment as per local laws. Please ensure you are selling original and licensed copies of films, videos, DVDs, VCDs and laser disks to avoid the possibility of prosecution.

2.3 Obligations as a buyer:

·      You must be located in either Qatar or countries listed by Bid4it.me to buy on Bid4it, people outside of these countries currently are not permitted to purchase items from Bid4it.

·      Your bids are non retractable once the auction has closed. you must only place a bid if you intend to buy the relevant item at the bid price entered. Reasonable allowances may need to be taken into account in the case of some deliveries by sellers.

·      If you are notified that your bid was successful, you must complete the transaction with the seller in the manner specified. By making any bid on Bid4it, you warrant and represent that you have the legal right to enter into and complete the transaction.

·      You must make full and prompt payment for any item you buy on Bid4it.

·      You agree to your username and the amount of your bid being published on Bid4it website, you also agree to your email address being supplied to the seller when you win an auction.

·       If your bid is successful and you do not want to pay for the item, you will receive a warning from Bid4it if the seller makes the complaint known to Bid4it. If you Bid4it receives 3 such complaints from either the same seller on other items or from multiple sellers, Bid4it may suspend or may terminate your membership, its all about being fair and honest!

·      You May not bid on an auction that has been listed by a family member, flatmate, friend or any member that is personally known to you, in order to raise the price of the auction.

2.4 Members Feedback:

Member feedback is provided to each member to rate other members both as a buyer and as a seller, feedback you provide for the other members should not contain offensive, inappropriate or defamatory language. Bid4it reserves the sole right to determine what is considered offensive, defamatory or inappropriate language.

You may only give member feedback that relates to a specific transaction. You must not post feedback on a transaction that does not relate to that specific transaction. You must not post feedback about yourself or include any contact details or personal information in your feedback.

Feedback is provided by Bid4it purely for the sole purpose of facilitating trade between members of bid4it and providing a means and a way to help buyers and sellers gain good report. You must not market or export any feedback to any venue other than the Bid4it website. Linking your Bid4it feedback from other buying and selling websites will be considered a breach of our terms and conditions.

2.5 Fees and Accounts:

Essentially services provided by Bid4it are FREE for use by both the buyer and the seller. Standard listings can have up to Six photos uploaded and all additional features added are FREE, Bid4it.me does NOT charge success fees. Item listings which have the following additional features added will NOT incur additional fees.

·         Bold

·         Italic font

·         Highlighted

·         Featured listing

·         additional photos uploaded to the listing (more than one photo)

If a member has not accessed their account on Bid4it website for the period of 18 months, your account and membership will be suspended.

2.6 General Provisions:

Bid4it will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure its services and website are made available, subject to downtime required for website maintenance. Any maintenance required on Bid4it.me will be announced on the home page with a date and time. Any listings at that time will be extended accordingly.
